Artists come in from all over the country to perform demonstrations and show off what they create in this fun place. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the finest craftspeople, listen to regional musicians, and taste some of the best food in the Hudson Valley. It doesn’t get more American than to visit our state capital! Albany is the perfect road trip and fun place to visit for Memorial Day. This city kicks off with a parade in the morning, right near the Capitol building. It is then followed by a ceremony at Academy Park, with tons of attractions to participate in. You can actually see a World War II ship if you’re into that, or take a relaxing boat cruise right on the Hudson River. Albany has something for everyone to enjoy their weekend.
