Make Your Own Smoothie Bowl

Every year we have a new food craze people just obsess over. From cronuts to cupcakes, we’ve seen it all. Lately, food trends have taken a turn toward the healthier side. Today, these culture obsessions include avocado toast, kale, quinoa, and of course smoothie or açai bowls. Smoothie bowls are taking Instagram by storm because they’re healthy, yummy, and pretty. They’re the perfect breakfast food but taste like dessert – a win-win situation if you ask me! All it is is a thicker smoothie in a bowl with different fruits, granola, nuts, or whatever you want on top of it. You can get so creative while making them and decorate yours however you want. Why spend over $10 on a bowl at a smoothie shop when you can make it at home for much cheaper? Get your together with your friends and make them for breakfast after a sleepover. Blueberry Bliss Bowl

Because your breakfast should be as pretty as you are!

Place in a blender…

  • 2 cups of frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 1/2 cup of oats soaked overnight
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 banana (optional)

You can now top it with whatever you want! We suggest chia seeds, coconut, almonds, or any berry!

Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl

Try this antioxidant-filled bowl!

Throw in a blender…

  • 1 frozen banana
  • Half a cup of frozen cherries or other berries
  • 1 tbsp of hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk

Once it’s all blended, put it in a bowl. You can top this with sliced banana, strawberries, blackberries, chia seeds, coconut, and pomegranate seeds.

Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Banana Smoothie

For the people who really want dessert for breakfast…

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tbsp of cocoa

This smoothie bowl pairs well with the toppings of granola, banana, chocolate chips, and peanut butter.

Green Smoothie Bowl

You’ll feel super healthy after eating this bowl full of super foods!

Throw in a blender…

  • 1/4 of an avocado
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup of mixed berries
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1 1/2 – 2 cups of milk
  • 1 tbsp of flax seed meal
  • 2 tbsp of peanut butter (optional)

Once it’s all blended, place the smoothie in a bowl. Top this off with sunflower seeds, granola, nuts, coconut, berries, and hemp seeds for a delicious and healthy smoothie bowl!
