Most know that Aloe Vera is a plant that is a life-saver for your skin in the summer. Nonetheless, the gooey substance can be used for an array of beauty and health benefits that most are unaware of. We’re here to share all of the miracles of Aloe Vera that goes beyond tanning with you!

We already know that Aloe Vera is a protectant for radiation damage to the skin. It’s commonly used to treat thermal and radiation burns, but it can also be used to soothe other skin conditions. This includes rashes, psoriasis, dermatitis, oral mucositis, and surgical wounds. Additionally, it’s a great home remedy for burn injuries and healing management outside of the sun. Aloe Vera provides rapid relief from itching and burning, allowing you to carry on with your summer fun!

Cold sores are still common in the summertime. To ease the discomfort and speed up the healing process, you can actually apply Aloe Vera a few times a day to the spot. This gel contains antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties that naturally reduce the pain of sores. Furthermore, the vitamins and amino acids inside create antibodies that our immune system uses to protect us. You’ll be good as new in no time!

To our own surprise, Aloe Vera can be used directly in your makeup routine. For example, you can apply it as an eyebrow gel. Simply dip a clean mascara wand or your finger into some of the product, and sweep it over your eyebrows. This will give them serious stay-put power, without getting hard or sticky. Then at the end of the day, use Aloe Vera as a makeup remover. Just a dollop of pure Aloe Vera will get rid of your raccoon eyes without damaging or drying your skin!

DIY Face Products

For face products, simply mix Aloe Vera with almond milk and lemon juice to create your own face wash. With it’s antibacterial properties and minerals, Aloe Vera is the perfect ingredient for sensitive skin, breakouts, rosacea, and anti-aging. For fresh and glowing skin, Aloe Vera can also be made into an exfoliant. It’s the best base for a homemade scrub since it helps soften skin and supplies oxygen to your cells. This overall strengthens your tissue to create vibrant skin, just by mixing it with brown sugar or baking soda.

Shaving cream can be expensive, so why not switch it out for a natural product? Just like using coconut oil, Aloe Vera can be used as pure shaving cream. Its antibacterial properties will fight against any cuts, and it’s super slippery to get a nice, close shave. In addition, it moisturizes your skin and soothes it, so no need for any lotions after your shower!
