Everyday School Makeup Look

Waking up early, boring professors, and sleepless nights? You know what time it is! Back to school. You enjoy your sleep, but you don’t want to wake up extra early to do your makeup. At the same time, however, you want to look alive and not like you did an all nighter working on a major project or test. Here are some tips and tricks for a quick and easy 10 min makeup routine that will make you look like you got it together (even when you don’t). I will be recommending both high-end products and drugstore alternatives if you’re on a budget!

BB Cream/ CC Cream

Use a tinted moisturizer to even out your complexion– this will look like you’re not even wearing foundation. This will moisturize your skin and give you a nice, light coverage that will make your skin look flawless and healthy. (like you drank a whole gallon of water; but we all know you had a XL coffee from Starbucks.) The It Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream, $38, is a great option. Now it also comes in a Matte or Illuminating option depending on your skin type.

A cheaper option for my ladies on a budget is the Garnier Tinted Moisturizer, found at any drugstore!

Concealer will cover your under eyes bags, making you look more awake. This is a major key in any makeup application. It truly changes your appearance like new phone, who’s this? The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Concealer, $28, seals the deal with there light weight formula to bring a medium to full coverage look.

An alternative is the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer- you can cover up just about anything for 7 bucks!

Apply a few coats of your mascara; this will open your eyes and make you look more awake! The key is to have a mascara that is volumizing and that separates your lashes so they can look you are flying! Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, $24, gives you just that!

You can also get nice long lashes with the Maybeline Colossal Big Shot Mascara as well!

You may think highlight is a lil too much for school, but it really is necessary. It gives you a glow when you use it everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. Apply highlight on the highest points of your face, tops of your checks, inner corners of the eye, below and above your eyebrow, bridge of your nose and cupids bow. You will probably blind people in your 8am class, but at least they stopped and stared.

The Fenty Beauty Highlighter in Mean Money/ Hu$la Baby, $34, is a nice peach champagne gold that compliments almost every skin tone. You can apply this subtly, or build it up if you please! The Maybeline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Gold also gives you the same effect. Both brands have other shades to choose from so you can pick how you want to glow!

It’s 2018. If your eyebrows ain’t fleeky, then what are you doing? Make sure you run some tinted eyebrow gel on your brow so they can look fuller. If that doesn’t help, use an eyebrow pencil to fill it in some more. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel, $24, tints your eyebrows, creating fullness and definition. Also they have the Precisely My Brow Eyebrow Pencil, $24, that easily shapes, defines, and fill in your brows.

Essence Make me brow is exactly like the Benefit one, but this one is only 3 bucks! This little brow gel tints your brows mimicking them to look like natural hair. NYX Cosmetics also makes a micro brow pencil that I personally love! It give me hair-like-strokes so no one can catch me slipping! It stays in place and for only 10 bucks? You can’t beat that!!

It comes in 5 shades to match your skin tone. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer also come in different shades and is a great alternative.

Apply a nice simple nude gloss or lipstick and you’re ready to go! There are thousands of lip products to choose from, but the Nars Cosmetics Audacious Lipstick, $30, in the shade “Barbara,” which is described as a tan rose, is subtle on the lips. This lippie is sure to give you long lasting, intensive pigment that nourishes and smooths the lips. If you’re a gloss type of girl then the Fenty Beauty Universal Gloss Bomb, $18, is a fan favorite and compliments every skin tone.

The Maybeline Lipsticks are one of the best in the drug store which are only $10! The shade 940 “Touchable Taupe” is such a great nude! NYX Cosmetics have butter glosses in so many shades that you will find your perfect nude gloss!
