Faviana On Trend: The 2018 Golden Globes

The 2018 Golden Globes were unlike any past award show. The red carpet was overwhelmed by one color – black. Women and men all across Hollywood came together by wearing black to represent the #TimesUp movement for equality, awareness, change, and to stand in solidarity with victims of sexual assault and harassment. This is a movement not only for the entertainment industry but for any and every industry across the world. Instead of answering the traditional question of, “who are you wearing?” actors and actresses on the red carpet answered “why are you wearing black?” to use their platform to raise awareness. Many actresses were even accompanied by activists who helped to start the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements among many others. These women were able to use the red carpet to share in their involvement and what others watching at home can do to help. Now, let’s take a look at the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet and our favorite styles worn by the inspiring women of last night.

2018 Golden Globes: Mermaid

jeanniemai 2018 golden globesJeannie Mai looked stunning on the red carpet last night in her mermaid style gown in black, of course, at the 2018 Golden Globes. She chose to style her hair in a bun with a few soft pieces in front of her face. Faviana Style 10103 is the perfect mermaid style gown for prom this year. You can wear your hair just like Jeannie’s or opt for soft curls.

2018 Golden Globes Style: Criss-Cross & Sequins

giuliana-rancic 2018 golden globesBetween a criss-cross style and a dress full of sequins, what is there not to love about Giuliana Rancic on the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet last night?! She chose to accessorize in the most elegant of ways with teardrop earrings a diamond encrusted bracelet and a ring on each hand. This criss-cross style is so on trend for this season, you can even find it in Faviana’s Spring 2018 Collection with Faviana Style S10031. You’ll definitely want to throw your hair up in a simple updo for this style or even an intricate braid!

2018 Golden Globes Style: Embellished Sleeves

susan 2018 golden globesEveryone’s favorite This Is Us cast member, Susan Kelechi Watson, rocked the red carpet last night in a gorgeous jumpsuit, but what really stood out were those sleeves! Much like Faviana Style S10053, sleeves are totally in this season. Sleeves give off a perfect ‘70s vibe so take it back and rock your prom or next formal event with some sleeves!

2018 Golden Globes Style: Shorts?!

kate-hudson 2018 golden globesYes, you read that right, shorts on the red carpet! Kate Hudson chose to represent in black with a gorgeous fishnet style dress and bodysuit shorts underneath her sheer skirt. And guess what?! Faviana Style S10032 features a fun pair of “shorts” underneath a sheer skirt too! It’s the perfect option if you’re looking for some comfort but also want to remain stylish all at the same time.

2018 Golden Globes Style: Intricate Tops

frankie-shaw 2018 golden globesThis might be our favorite look of the night because Frankie Shaw truly showed off her personal style last night at the 2018 Golden Globes. Even though you technically can’t “see” her personal style touch, Frankie wore a pair of lace up sneakers underneath her gown – how cool! Now for the dress, we love the bustier style top with lace and beaded detail and full skirt. Faviana Style S7907 also features a bustier style top and would be perfect for all your formal events. Throw on a pair of your favorite tennis shoes and you’re set to go!
