It’s the first week of May and for all you guys and gals who live and breathe fashion, we all know what that means. It’s Met Gala season!!!! If you haven’t heard the news, this year’s looks were based on Susan Sontag’s “Notes on Camp” and the interpretation of camp created some absolutely stunning looks!
The looks served on the red carpet this year did NOT disappoint! Here are some of our favorite looks from the night with a few Faviana dresses that we think could help you recreate the look. Try these looks for prom, a pageant or your next formal event. This is Faviana on Trend: Red Carpet Edition!
Red on (the) Red (Carpet)
We’re currently obsessing over Halsey’s stunning red two-piece moment. We love how the skirt creates a bold statement, paired with the subtle top that works perfectly with her arm jewelry. Check out Faviana Style S10241, which offers the same satin finish and flirty, deep v-neck! She made a statement with the bold red- and so can you! Pair S10241 with some chunky gold bracelets and a pair of strappy red heels and flaunt the look!
Metallic at the Met (Gala)
One of our favorite Victoria’s Secret Angels, Taylor Hill, charmed the carpet in a subtle but gorgeous metallic strapless gown and a feathery shawl. Go for a similar look with Faviana Style S10211 in Mauve, which has a similar metallic effect with a high side slit. Complete the look with a fur shawl and a sparkly, silver statement necklace.
Sparkling on the Steps
Model and influencer Bella Hadid stole the show in a stunning embroidered gown with silver hardware and head-turning jeweled dangle earrings. Rock a similar look by wearing Faviana Style S7999 in black! The lace applique on the neckline and sides give it that hint of sparkle that you need, plus without the side cut-outs it’s more than perfect for any occasion.
Dazzle this look up with some flashy silver jewelry on your arms and some ornate gems on your ears to stun the crowd. Since the dress and accessories are meant to be so showy, try aiming for a minimal makeup look with a pop of red! A bold red lip never disappoints, and it’d pair great with this type of dress.
Gemma Chan, breakout star from award winning film Crazy Rich Asians, stunned on the steps of the Met by rocking a timeless and elegant silver gown with a bedazzled headpiece. Have your own princess moment in a silver gown by rocking Faviana Style S10215 in platinum. Our dress features a similar neckline with a metallic finish and a subtle slit down the front.
Don’t forget- it’s all about accessories, even with a look as out there as this one. So if you’re up for making your look as breathtaking as Gemma’s, opt for a dramatic headpiece and be the queen that you are!
If you’re opting for the headpiece moment, go for a more refined pair of silver or crystal bracelets.
Beauty in Black
We chose one of Gaga’s four (equally dramatic) looks for everyone who are obsessed with looking stunning in a simple black number. Faviana Style 10103 features a similar skirt to Gaga’s Met Gala moment and will make you the belle of the ball at any event! The lace off-the-shoulder bodice achieves a similar dramatic effect while the mermaid bottom lets you accentuate your natural figure effortlessly!
Accessories are optional on this, but heavy makeup is a MUST! Whether or not you want to go with the matching black umbrella is up to you.
Pink on Pink
Model Hailey Bieber looked timeless and elegant in an Alexander Wang backless dress that she styled with simple makeup and minimal accessories. Recreate this look with Faviana Style S10214 in Dusty Pink, which features a similar timeless color and will make you look stunning at your prom or a summer wedding! Try a subtle, wavy style with your hair and pull it into a gentle ponytail with a black bow to complete the look.
