NYFW F/W 2020: Sukeina

Yesterday I was lucky enough to receive an invite to the Sukeina NYFW F/W 2020 show. Sukeina is a women’s wear brand that was created and designed by Omar Salam. Before the show, I did a little research to see what Sukeina was all about, and I instantly fell in love. Keep on reading to learn more about this stunning brand!

The Brand

One of the first things that I read about Sukeina was that Naomi Campbell approves of this brand. Now, if she approves, it MUST be amazing! Salam caught the eye of a world renowned supermodel, which also helped boost his women’s wear brand in the fashion industry. To be one of the rising stars during NYFW according to Vogue Australia, he must be doing something right.

Before The Show

To be honest, this was my first time going to a fashion show at Spring Studios in NYC, and I didn’t want to leave. I got so energized seeing the runway and the sea of photographers at the end waiting to capture the perfect shot. I got priority standing, which I liked because you get to see the pieces better (aka get better pics!), unless you’re in the front row. Once the runway cleared and the lights dimmed, I knew it was show time!

Fringe Is In

The show started off with a beautiful green, felt dress, but my absolute favorite pieces were the fringe! I have been seeing many looks on the runways and even on the NYC streets with fringe detailing, so it must be in. The first fringe look that caught my eye was the one on the left with the beautiful splash of burgundy. I also love how the neck on both pieces went all the way up to balance the proportions out. As for the look on the right, this was the big final look that Salam showed, and it was to die for! There is so much intricate detailing in this piece that it must’ve taken ages to make. My eyes will definitely be peeled for whoever is going to wear this piece out and about. Overall, the show was absolutely amazing, and I HOPE to attend his next show.
