Here at Faviana, we are all about finding the latest and greatest trends for hair, but what about bringing back those timeless vintage styles? We are endlessly inspired by ‘20s glam, especially the hairstyles, and we love to rock it with a modern twist. If you are a Great Gatsby fan, you know how fabulous Daisy’s hair is in those slicked-back, Old Hollywood curls. If you are looking for a way to incorporate some glamorous vintage vibes into your ‘do for your next event, we have you covered. Here are Faviana’s tips for vintage hairstyles!
Vintage Hairstyles #1: Loose Curls

For this look, all you need is a big-barrel curling iron and lots of hairspray. A vintage look is usually created by just curling the ends of the hair into big, loose curls. With a simple hairstyle like this, you have lots of room for some creative hair accessories! Try looking in thrift shops or antique stores for vintage clips or bobby pins. This would be perfect for accenting a simple and elegant look.
Vintage Hairstyles #2: The Updo

To create a simple vintage updo, find a perfect vintage headband or ribbon to use as your base. With the band around your forehead and on top of your hair, take small sections of your hair and wrap it around the band. Continue all the way around your head until all of your hair is up. Top off this look with a feather for an authentic vintage look.
Vintage Hairstyles #3: Victory Rolls

Victory rolls are a classic pin-up style. To get this look, tease the crown of your hair, and divide the tops of your hair into two large sections. For each section, create a large roll, either flat to your hair or facing outwards, and secure with bobby pins and hairspray. For a less-severe look, try creating two or three small rolls that lay flat to your head, and pull the rest of your hair back into a loose ponytail.
Vintage Hairstyles #4: Faux Bob

If you have always wanted to see how you would look with a bob, this is the perfect time to test it out without the commitment! A ’20s-inspired faux bob is easy to achieve, no haircut required. For this look, lightly curl your hair to prep, being sure to add extra volume to the top of your hair. To create the bobbed look, take the ends of sections of your hair and tuck them loosely under the rest of your hair, securing with bobby pins at the base of your head. To make the look more believable, pull some shorter strands out to frame your face.
Whether you’re going to a Great Gatsby theme party, or just love the ’20s aesthetic, these hairstyles are easy to achieve and can perfectly accent any dress. Now throw on some killer vintage accessories, like a pair of Audrey Hepburn pearls, and you’re ready to go!
