The concept is the latest rage and was brought to the city by brothers Richard and Wilson Tam, with their business partner David Chen. Check out their 9 original flavors that you can choose from, and top it off with an unlimited amount of toppings! Its ice cream heaven!

Where: Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beers
Want one of those Instagram, swoon-worthy shakes? Well you can get them here along with other tantalizing goodies. Think ol’ fashioned diner meets the digital age. From burgers and fries, to wings, salad and special seasonal drinks (and of course those crazy looking shakes), this place has it all! Check out 1 of their 4 locations in the city!
#8 – Outdoor Movie
Where: NYC Parks & Rooftops
It’s so NOT cliché! Ok maybe it is a little, but regardless we all want to do it! This is a cute (and FREE) date night idea that is available during the summer months. Perfect for film buffs, all you need is a blanket, a snuggle buddy and you’re set! Check out the website for the schedule and pencil it in. Don’t forget to check the weather or you could be dancing in the rain!
#7 – Strike or Spare!
Where: Brooklyn Bowl
“Eat. Drink. Rock. And Roll”, that’s the motto at Brooklyn Bowl. Grab your sweetie for some old fashioned fun. With food provided by Blue Ribbon, this is THE spot to be for a great night of bowling. In addition to bowling you can see a live show on special nights, check out their website for upcoming events. Head on down any night of the week, and if you forget socks, you can rent those too!
#6 – Escape the Bustle and Get in Touch with Nature!
Where: The Highline
Take a romantic stroll along the Highline. Located above the busy streets of NYC on a historic freight rail line, the Highline is one of the city’s favorite places to go to if you want to get back to nature. Offering scenic views, gorgeous plants and flowers, multiple picnic sites and various forest like pathways, this place is wonderful for (nature) lovers. This is also the perfect place to take a nature-filled selfie with your date!

Where: Brooklyn Boulders
This is a cool and creative date idea with day passes starting at just $28. You can spend countless hours here with 18,000 feet of climbing space. Brooklyn Boulders is the place for experts and novice’s alike. Not into climbing? That’s ok, they offer Yoga classes and other fitness programs too. The added bonus: you don’t need to dress up for this date! Gym gear is comfortable and perfectly acceptable, while still super cute.
#4 – Sit Back & Relax
Where: Nitehawk Theatre
The city’s premier movie and dine-in experience. Nitethawk Theatre is a different kind of movie experience, and is perfect for a date. Guests are asked to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before show time and are seated on a first come first serve basis. Once seated, servers will come and take your order and deliver it back to you, along with your drink of choice. Shows vary from screenings, to one night exclusive events, to live sound events, just to name a few. They even feature special brunch and midnight shows, making this theater even more unique. #3 – Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Where: Central Park
Nothing bonds a couple like working together, but it’s not really work when you’re having fun! So why not rent a paddleboat (or kayak or rowboat) and have a Notebook moment, just don’t fall in! Lol! You can rent these boats for a small price and spend some quality time together. After, grab a hot dog at one of the city’s famous hot dog stands, ketchup and mustard for me please!
#2 – Convo’s & Creativity

Bring out the artist in you and sign up for Paint Night! This is the perfect venue for a first date, and even if it’s a bad date, you get to leave with a masterpiece! Sign up for one of the pictures you like, there usually is a promo code online, and head down with your date. There are so many options to choose from, and different skills levels. Don’t worry, not everyone is a Monet or Picasso, newbie’s are welcome too!
#1 – Mocha Me Crazy
Where: Fair Folks & A Goat
If you want to keep it simple yet chic, check out this coffee shop. It’s super cute and stylish, perfect for a first date. They even have a membership option that gets you unlimited beverages for $25, which is a pretty amazing deal! Be sure to try their iced bevvy’s as they are known for them.
