Prom is just around the corner and everyone is getting so excited! So you have your dress, your shoes and you picked out your hairstyle and makeup, but you don’t have a date. While prom dates seem like the most important part of prom? We can promise you that it’s much more about you, than who you take. Whether you had a date back out, or a scheduling mishap, or you simply haven’t found the right person to share the night with, going to prom date-less is not nearly as terrifying as one may think. Last Minute Dates
If it is very important to you to have a date, there are a few places you may be able to find one last minute. Try connecting with some old friends, and see if anyone is free on prom night. Or try asking your siblings friends to accompany you on a low key, fun night! Or how about asking a friend who goes to a different school that has a different prom date? You could even put yourself out of your comfort zone and ask that cutie you always talk to at the gym, whats the worst that can happen.
Owning It
If you decide that having a date is not crucial for having a great night, it is time to own it. This is your time to shine, and you get to totally focus on yourself and having the time of your life. Do some of your pals not have dates either? Make a fabulous entrance with your entourage and remind everyone that prom is about celebrating yourself! No date also means you can to own your prom poses without those, often awkward, couple shots. Also, not much can top breaking it down on the dance floor with your best friends, and you certainly don’t need a date to do that!
Focus On The Fashion
No date means no need to match! You can to style your prom look however you want, and no one will be complaining about matching that gorgeous hot pink prom gown you picked out. Take prom night to make your fashion debut! Try that hairstyle you have been dying to try, wear that bold lip color and rock a color you have never been brave enough to wear. And did we mention the heels? No stressing about how tall your date is! Go buy those 5 inch to-die-for heels you have been looking for an occasion to wear.
This night is all about you! Don’t let date drama get you down. Focus on getting the perfect selfies with your girls, and rocking the dress of your dreams.
